3D Floor Plan from Editable Layout Geometry

Create a 3D floor plan from an editable layout, supported imported geometry or a measured image you trace. Inspect walls, openings and furniture from different viewpoints, then save the plan or export a model.

How to use 3D floor plan

Start with my project

Prepare editable plan geometry

Choose a template, import supported JSON or DXF, or trace a calibrated plan image. Check the scale and wall layout before inspecting the result.

Review the plan in three dimensions

Open the 3D preview and orbit around the selected level. Inspect real wall openings, furniture relationships and the enclosure created by your current geometry.

Export a model for the next step

Save the editable project, then export the selected floor as GLB. Open the file in your intended viewer and check orientation and scale.

Understand the volume behind a flat plan

Moving a 3D floor plan reveals relationships that are easy to miss from above. The preview builds walls, door and window openings, and furniture from the current geometry, so the spatial view stays connected to the layout you are editing.

Keep a reusable 3D output

Export a GLB model of the selected floor after checking the arrangement. A 3D floor plan workflow can support a design conversation or an external viewer, while the JSON project keeps the underlying layout available for another edit.

Why use 3D floor plan

Compare the same plan in two views

Use the overhead layout to place elements and the 3D floor plan to inspect their spatial relationships. Both views follow the current editable project.

See openings as part of the geometry

Door and window openings are cut into the wall geometry. Inspect their placement alongside furniture instead of relying on a flat symbol alone.

Check scale before sharing the model

Calibrate image references and inspect imported dimensions first. A clear 3D floor plan process starts with reliable input scale, not just a convincing view.

Choose an output that stays useful

Keep JSON for editing and GLB for supported external viewing. This separates the project you can revise from the model you share for spatial review.

After a 3D floor plan, refine walls with room planner or compare photo finishes with AI room design.
